The closest beach access is at Roads End State Park, 5-minute walk from our house. The access is a sloped paved walkway with slight rocky path at the end. From there, you can access 7 miles of sandy beaches from Roads End to Siletz Bay.
If you love to hike, there are several hiking trials in Lincoln City that might sooth your taste. The Knoll and God's Thumb trail heads are the closest to our house. These are what I consider beginner loops that are pet and kid friendly. Along these trials, you will experience spectacular views of pacific coastline from Cascade Head to Devils Lake.
The best spot to catch your delicious dinner year round is Siletz Bay. You want to go there a few hours after low tide when crabs are active and mud flats re-surface. Clams can be found 14 inches below mud and can be spotted by small holes. Make sure that you have right gears and Shellfish license.
